December 7, 2010-1 Hour Elementary; 1 Hour Secondary
Today I had the privilege of working with the first grade teachers on their curriculum. I was able to talk with them about how to integrate technology into their curriculum. The biggest take away I had from this meeting is that they felt confident that they could incorporate more technology, but would need more training. One of the big ways that a LMS could help them is to create lesson templates that they could then carryout because the LMS is not available during their computer time. This was well received by both parties. It will be interesting to see how the process continues.
Mrs. Laurent came to see me about the lack of plays in our collection. The Forensics Team season was starting, and students are looking for performance pieces. After our talk and evaluation of our collection, I decided to acquire books with monologs and 10-minute plays. Titlewave had a lot to offer, and we hope to have our books soon for students.
